We highly recommend these radios in John Deere tractors for the following reasons: Many times the radios can be installed without "chopping up" the existing wiring harness. Often we can assist in supplying the correct wiring harness adapter or mounting kits to simplify installation. These radios are designed for off-road use. They are designed to handle more vibration than a typical automotive radio can take. The radios are designed to withstand higher temperature, humidity and dust than a typical automotive radio. The display can be read from looking from below. Most tractors have the radio mount above your head. Some automotive radios the display cannot be read from this angle. Large buttons and controls can be easily operated with gloves on. Many automotive radios are not warrantied when installed in off road equipment.
